331st Communications Reconnaissance Company

Summary History

Apr 1942: Constituted as the 114th Signal Radio Intelligence Company. 
Jul  1942: Activated at Camp Crowder, MO. 
1944-45:  During World War II, the 114th was one of several radio intelligence
                   units allocated in support of 12th US Army Group.
Jan 1946: Reorganized and redesignated as the 114th Signal Service Co. 
Oct 1951: Converted and redesignated as the 331st Communications Reconnaissance
                   Company and allotted to Regular Army. 
Feb 1952: Assigned to 307th Communications Reconnaissance Battalion. 
Jun 1955: Reorganized and redesignated as A Company, 307th Communications
                   Reconnaissance Battalion. 
July 1956: Redesignated as A Company, 307th Army Security Agency Battalion. 
Oct 1957: Deactivated.
Sep 1978: A Company, 307th ASA Battalion redesignated as 331st Army Security
                   Agency Company.
Oct 1983:  307th Bn was reorganized and redesignated as 307th MI Bn however, the
331st ASA Company did not make the transition to the new battalion and was
deactivated.
